The Bakersfield Condors added two more players to their roster on Tuesday -- defenseman Shaun Fisher and forward Adam Naglich -- bringing to 16 the number of players under contract for the upcoming season.

Fisher, who played briefly for the Condors late in the 2005-06 season, is the first veteran signed by the Condors. Fisher, 30, played the final seven regular season games for the Condors, netting one assists, then put in one goal and nine assists in 14 playoff games.

"He was our best defenseman (in the playoffs) by a mile," Condors coach Marty Raymond said of Fisher. "He knows about the town and knows abut the expectations here. He will help out our young defense tremendously."

Naglich, 25, played four years at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks where he was third in points in both his junior and senior seasons

"He's good offensively and defensively and is sound in all facets of the game and we're happy to have him on board," Raymond said of Naglich.

That said, Raymond acknowledged that all 16 players under contract were unlikely to make the season-opening roster after the Anaheim Ducks send down players.

"We don't know how many guys are going to come from Anaheim to Bakersfield," Raymond said. "But we're probably going to have 26 or 27 guys at camp and not everybody is going to make the club."

The Condors open training camp on Oct. 1, host their annual open house at Bakersfield Ice Sports Center on Oct 2, and open the season at home against Ontario on Oct. 16.
