Bakersfield's overstocking situation at goaltender was solved on Wednesday as the Anaheim Ducks reassigned J.P. Levasseur to the Laredo Bucks of the the Central Hockey League.
That left two other Anaheim-assigned goaltenders on Bakersfield's ECHL opening-day roster -- Justin Pogge and Timo Pielmeier.
The Condors released forward Travis Granbois and placed forward Matthew Myers on inactive status to reach a 22-man opening-day roster (12 forwards, eight defensemen and the two goaltenders).
"He's a great kid but it's a numbers game at this points," Condors coach Marty Raymond said of having to release Granbois. "He has a lot of class, maturity. It's a tough day for a coach to look a guy in the eye and say 'it's not going to happen.' "
The Condors have 10 players assigned by Anaheim on the roster.
