Salmon Kings goaltender shuts down Condors, 3-0

VICTORIA, British Columbia -- The Bakersfield Condors could not figure out goaltender Glenn Fisher, falling to the Victoria Salmon Kings 3-0 on Friday night at Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre.
After scoring twice against Fisher in Wednesday's 3-1 victory, Bakersfield failed to score on 36 shots.
Victoria's Wes Goldie had two goals for Victoria, which earned its first victory of the season in five tries. The Condors failed to convert on five power-play opportunities, including two full minutes of a 5-on-3 advantage in the third period.
Goaltender Justin Pogge got the loss, stopping 32 of 35 shots.
Goldie scored the game's first goal at 9:53 of the first period.
The Salmon Kings struck twice in the span of 14 seconds in the second period to take a 3-0 lead. Goldie scored his second of the game with 5:44 remaining in the period. Andy Brandt followed it up with his first of the season.
The teams meet again at 7 p.m. today in Victoria.
