Cal State Bakersfield sophomore Bryan Hogan shot rounds of 68 and 67 for a 9-under 135 Sunday to win the 13th Arvin City Championship at Sycamore Canyon golf course.

Our readers recommend:

Hogan's 135 was just one shot from the tournament record of 134, set by Jeff Brumfield in 2000.

Pete Fernandez, a sophomore at Stockdale High, was the runner-up at 67-72--139, two better than Bakersfield High senior Bhavik Patel, who carded rounds of 72 and 69.

Former CSUB start Ron Kilmer was fourth at 142 and Jeff Knight was fifth at 143.
