Fairel and Greene lift Blaze, 3-0

Blaze starter Matt Fairel pitched six scoreless innings, and Brodie Greene broke a scoreless tie with a two-run triple in the eighth inning Tuesday, leading the Blaze past the San Jose Giants 3-0.
Fairel struck out four and did not walk a batter
Relievers Mace Thurman (4-3), who pitched the seventh and eighth innings and earned the victory, and Doug Salinas, who pitched the ninth, preserved the shutout. Salinas earned his 11th save.
Greene's triple scored Ryan LaMarre and Josh Fellhauer, each of whom had singled to reach base.
Greene scored on Stephen Hunt's single.
