Blaze routs High Desert

ADELANTO -- Mark Fleury hit a grand slam, and Chris Richburg homered twice and drove in four runs as the Bakersfield Blaze rolled past the High Desert Mavericks 12-4 on Sunday night.
Jorge Jimenez went 3-for-5 with three runs scored and J.C. Sulbaran pitched five effective innings for the Blaze.
Sulbaran (9-5) gave up two runs on four hits, walked one and struck out eight.
Bakersfield scored four runs apiece in the fourth and fifth innings to build a 10-2 lead. High Desert committed three errors.
The teams conclude a four-game series at 7 p.m. today.
