Mavs' big 5th inning sinks Blaze

ADELANTO -- Shaver Hansen, Steven Proscia and Denny Almonte all had home runs as part of a five run fifth inning for High Desert and the Mavericks defeated Blaze 7-6 at Mavericks Stadium.
Bakersfield entered the inning with a 3-2 lead and left trailing 7-3. The Blaze scored three in the sixth.
The Blaze's Alex Buchholz was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored.
The teams play today at 7:05 at High Desert.
