Local report: Visalia outslugs Blaze, 13-7

VISALIA — Bobby Borchering hit a three-run home run in a four-run first inning and the Visalia Rawhide added four more runs in the third en route to a 13-7 rout of the Bakersfield Blaze on Monday night at Sam Lynn Ballpark.
The Rawhide collected 19 hits and scored all of their runs in the first five innings.
Chris Richburg hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the first for Bakersfield to tie the game at 4.
The Blaze finished with four hits.
The teams meet again at 7:45 p.m. today.
NW All-Stars manage 2 hits in loss
The Northwest Bakersfield All-Stars lost were held to two hits in a 6-0 loss to Benton, Ark., at the Cal Ripken 12-and-under in Visalia.
Northwest will face Raynham, Mass., at noon today.
