Blaze starter Tim Crabbe threw seven shutout innings, giving up just one hit and one walk and striking out eight, to lead Bakersfield to an 11-2 victory over San Jose at home.
The Blaze scored at least a run in every inning but the fourth. Shortstop Brodie Greene went 2-4 with a home run and a double for the Blaze.
The Blaze stole four bases, including two by Greene, which tied them with Lake Elsinore at 192.
The teams will play again today at 7:30 at Sam Lynn.
