JC roundup: BC men reach final at Ventura Tournament

VENTURA -- Chase Adams scored a career-high 30 points as the Bakersfield College men's basketball team pulled away Orange Coast for a 105-77 victory at the Ventura Tournament.
Skyler Vaden added 15 points and Nick Markovich had 13 for the Renegades (2-0). BC will face L.A. Valley in the tournament championship game at 4 p.m. today.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Ashlee Taira scored a game-high 16 points as the Bakersfield College women's basketball team cruised to a 62-42 victory over Cuesta at Gil Bishop Sports Center.
Alexi Smith finished with 12 points and 11 rebounds, and Diana Roseburr scored 13 points for the Renegades (2-0). Lakai Banks added 10 points for BC.
