Matt Shaxton scored an unassisted goal in the 77th minute to lift the Cal State Bakersfield men's soccer team to its third consecutive victory Saturday, a 2-1 decision over Cal State Fullerton at the Main Soccer Field.
The Roadrunners (5-3-1) sent the Titans (4-5-1) to their third straight loss.
CSUB's Robbie Gouk broke a scoreless tie in the 36th minute with his second goal of the season. Freshman Jesus Sanchez assisted on the score.
Fullerton tied the match in the 74th minute with a goal by Shay Spitz.
JC WOMEN'S GOLF
Bakersfield College's Ellen Krausse shot an opening-round 5-over 76 to take a two-shot lead Sunday at the North/South Cup in Morro Bay.
Teammate Katherine James is second after finishing with a 78 at Dairy Creek Golf Course. BC is tied for the lead with Sacramento City at 355. The final round is today at Morro Bay Golf Course.
