BC women 4th in WSC golf finals

VENTURA -- Malea Miller and Paula Robinson tied for third with two-day totals of 158 to help the Bakersfield College women's golf team place fourth in the Western State Conference finals tournament Monday at Olivas Links golf course.
The Renegades placed third overall in the conference.
Miller, who shot a 4-over-par 76 Monday after an 82 in Sunday's opening round, and Robinson (81-77) qualified for next week's SoCal Regionals at Twin Oaks Golf Course in San Marcos. Other top players in the tourney for BC were Cambria Ullrich (83-81--164), Debbie Osborn (97-88--185).
BC's team score was 653, and the Renegades played nine strokes better Monday than they did Sunday. Glendale (637) won the tourney and College of the Canyons (638) was second. Glendale's Day Silawanna (78-77--155) was the low medalist.
