Bakersfield College improved to 3-0 in volleyball with a 25-7, 25-18, 25-15 win over Antelope Valley on Wednesday.
Samaiyah Wilkins had 15 kills with zero errors. Ashley Simpson had 18 kills and 15 digs and Rachel Christian had 21 digs.
Cal State Bakersfield sophomore goalkeeper Eric Shannon has been named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Player of the Week, the first time a Roadrunner soccer player has been honored in the two years CSUB has been in the conference.
Shannon had eight saves, including a pair on breakaways, to key a season-opening 1-0 win over then No. 7-ranked UC Santa Barbara on Sept. 1. He allowed a late goal later in the week in CSUB's 3-1 win over UC Davis.
