The Los Angeles Times reported that the gunman who opened fire at a polling station Tuesday, killing one person and wounding two more, was found dead inside an Azusa home.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lt. John Corina said the man opened fire at responding officers while holed up inside the home before SWAT officers found him.

It is unclear if he died from exchanged gunfire with police officers or from a self-inflicted wound, the Los Angeles Times reported.

The gunman’s identity was not released.
