A look at the California June 5 Primary
California June 5 primary will look a little different than in years’ past. Except for in the U.S. presidential and county central committee races, voters will choose among all candidates running for a partisan offices, regardless of party. The top two vote-getters will move on to the November general election. In the past, the winners from each qualified party made it to the general.

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) -- Mitt Romney routed Newt Gingrich in the Florida primary Tuesday night, rebounding from the previous week's defeat with a commanding victory and taking a major step toward the Republican presidential nomination. Despite the one-sided setback, Gingrich vowed to press on.
