Mothers Against Drunk Driving Kern County honored local law enforcement officers and prosecutors on Wednesday for their efforts in helping to stop DUI crimes.

The 2018 Kern County MADD Law Enforcement and Prosecutor Recognition ceremony was held at Hodel’s Country Dining, with more than 50 officers across the county receiving awards.

“This is our chance to give a big ‘thank you’ to the men and women in Kern County who are dedicated to keeping our streets as safe as possible,” said Carla Pearson, victim services specialist for MADD Kern County.
