If you didn't get enough rain Saturday, hold on. Bakersfield can expect more raindrops for Super Bowl Sunday.

The National Weather Service expects showers only until about mid-day, but the clouds will stick around all day, meteorologist Carlos Molina said.

Bakersfield should see a high of about 57 degrees. Tehachapi will be much colder, of course, with a high of about 39 degrees. Frazier Park should see a high of 35 degrees. Expect a high of about 46 degrees in Lake Isabella.

On Saturday, the rain ranged from .07 inches at Meadows Field to .17 inches at Cal State Bakersfield to .28 inches in downtown Bakersfield, Molina said.

Other areas of the county saw more rainfall: .73 inches in Lake Isabella and .59 inches in Tehachapi.

Saturday's rain caused some flooding, notably on Highway 58 at General Beale Road. California Highway Patrol officers had to close the area for a few hours, but around 8 p.m. said it was open.

Typically, when there's more than a half-inch of rain, runoff can be expected in the mountain areas, Molina said.

The county also saw its share of snow Saturday too, with flakes falling at about 4,000 feet in Tehachapi and 5,000 feet in Frazier Park, the National Weather Service reported.

Traveling Sunday? Motorists can call 800-GAS-ROAD for the latest road closures throughout California.
