Suspected homicide victim found in east Bakersfield

A 43-year-old man was found dead in his east Bakersfield home early Saturday, the apparent victim of homicide.
The man's 25-year-old fiance discovered his body in a bedroom of their house in the 1300 block of Eureka Street when she arrived home at about 5 a.m., Bakersfield Police Sgt. Glen Grundeis said. The woman had been with friends since Friday night, Grundeis added.
The victim was identified as Augie Gutierrez Senoran. His fiance's name was not released.
Grundeis said Senoran's wounds suggest he died of traumatic injuries to his head and face, though the cause of death is still to be determined.
Police had no suspect information or possible motive by Saturday afternoon.
"We haven't seen any signs of forced entry or anything in the house," Grundeis said.
