The Kern County Public Health Department has used up its initial supply of H1N1 Flu Nasal Mist vaccine that was available at the 1800 Mount Vernon Ave. location, a department news release announced Saturday.

However, vaccine is still available at 11 district offices in the county. Additionally, H1N1 Flu Nasal Mist vaccine was distributed to doctors and medical providers, so you can check with your doctor about availability.

The department will also announce when more vaccine is available.

"Public Health District Offices located throughout Kern County will be offering H1N1 Flu Nasal Mist vaccinations to eligible residents during their normal clinic hours," Public Health Officer Dr. Claudia Jonah said in a news release. "It is recommended the public calls the Public Health District Offices to confirm availability of the vaccine and to see if they meet the health eligibility requirements mandated by the Centers for Disease Control."
