ANDREW J. BARLING recently received outstanding commendations from several local politicians for his 25 years of educational therapy service at Stockdale Learning Center. He also accepted the position of chaplain for the Southern Sierra Council Boy Scouts of America.
MARTIN CHESLEY has joined Odyssey HealthCare of Bakersfield as community education representative. He has 16 years of experience in the medical industry.
RYAN J. ALSOP has been named assistant chief executive officer for Los Angeles County. The Bakersfield native is to manage the Office of Intergovernmental Relations and External Affairs of the Chief Executive Office. He has worked most recently as director of government and public affairs for Long Beach Water. Alsop graduated from Highland High School and Cal State Bakersfield.
DAVE and SHARON COUSINEAU won five Accolades of Excellence awards at the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International 2009 First Half 8x10 print competition in Culver City. The couple have won 21 awards since they started competing at WPPI events in June 2006.
MISTY CRAIG has joined Heise Media Group as an account manager. Craig, formerly an account executive at The Bakersfield Californian, lives in Bakersfield with her husband and three children.
