KATIE DAVID has been named director of marketing and sales at Volvo Rents, a locally owned equipment rental company. David graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies from Cal State Bakersfield in 2008.
CAROL KNAPP has joined ING FInancial Partners, a member of Securities Investor Protection Corp., as a registered representative specializing in insurance products, IRA rollovers, mutual funds and annuities. She is to work in the office of ING Financial Partners in the Kress Building. Knapp retired in 2007 from Wells Fargo Bank, where she was a branch manager before becoming an investment representative. She has volunteered with several nonprofits.
PETER CELEDON has also joined ING Financial Partners, a member of Securities Investor Protection Corp., and is located in the Kress Building. He maintains a property and casualty and insurance license with Kerber Insurance Agency LLC and has worked for more than 25 years in the investment and insurance industry. Celedon specializes in tax qualified 401(k) plan rollovers, IRA and Roth IRAs and in-service transfers. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business and accounting from Cal State Bakersfield.
LEAH GARZA has been promoted to director of family services at Covenant Community Services Inc. She brings experience working with at-risk youth and their families. Garza holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California at Berkeley and is working on a master’s degree in counseling psychology at National University with plans to become a licensed marriage and family therapist. She previously worked at Casa Pacifica in Santa Barbara and the child and adolescent psychiatry unit at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute.
ERIC ROSENFELD and The House of Production, a full service video production company, have joined The Marcom Group. Rosenfeld has 20 years of experience in video production, including commercial TV spots and video development for Web sites and social media networking.
BRUCE EUCCE, owner of Bruce Eucce Transportation Inc., has been recognized by FedEx Ground, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp., as a regional entrepreneur of the year award recipient. His business serves as a contracted delivery company for FedEx Ground from the company’s Ventura terminal. The award recognizes top customer service, helping with the success of other independent contractors and supporting local communities.
DOUGLAS A. GOSLING, an associate attorney with Klein, DeNatale, Goldner, Cooper, Rosenlieb & Kimball, LLP, has been appointed to the board of directors of the State Bar of California Young Lawyers Association as the 5th District representative. He is to serve a three-year term facilitating the development of programs for young lawyers’ development and benefitting the community. Gosling’s practice concentrates in general civil and complex litigation. The graduate of University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law also has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Hawaii.

BUD HERRINGTON has joined Bakersfield Business Brokers. The retired Marine Corps officer was formerly a representative for the John Deere Co. and a founder and partner of the dealership of West Kern, South Kern and North Kern Machinery. He has practiced commercial real estate over the past 20 years.
MARK ANDERSON has also joined Bakersfield Business Brokers. He recently received the professional designation of certified business broker by the California Association of Business Brokers. He brings experience in valuations of business enterprises, and holds a California real estate license and bachelor’s degree in business administration.
