SUSAN FERGUSON of Coldwell Banker Preferred has earned the National Association of Realtors Short Sale and Foreclosure Certifications. Real estate professionals with this credential have undergone training on how to qualify sellers for short sales, negotiate with lenders, protect buyers and limit risk.
ROY ALLARD has joined TW Telecom as operations manager for Bakersfield/Fresno. He has more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications field, and currently teaches electronic technology at Bakersfield College. DAVID ABERCROMBIE and TERESA SHADDEN have joined the company as account executives in the Bakersfield office.
TRACI O’LEARY GARZA has been awarded the Certified Residential Specialist Designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, the largest not-for-profit affiliate of the National Association of Realtors. Fewer than 38,000 Realtors nationwide have earned the credential, which requires advanced coursework. Garza is the broker of Paradise Realty.
PATRICIA GUTIERREZ and KIM LLOYD have accepted positions with the City Welcome Committee as sales representatives promoting advertising for local businesses. City Welcome Committee presents gift baskets to new parents, newlyweds and those who have recently relocated to Bakersfield.
CHARLOTTE “CHARLI” MACKELVEY has joined The Principal Financial Group’s Bakersfield Business Center as a financial representative. MacKelvey has more than 17 years working in the insurance/financial services industry, most recently serving as an independent broker with Rosenthal-MacKelvey Insurance and Financial Services.
RILEY PARKER, a member of the California Association of Licensed Investigators, has joined the association’s Political Action Committee and its Unlicensed Practices Committee. He also will chair the Certification Committee. Parker is the founder of Parker & Associates Professional Investigations, which specializes in fraud, embezzlement, labor, workers’ compensation and pre-employment background investigations.
JOHN SACCO has been elected chairman of the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries. Sacco is vice president of Sierra Recycling and Demolition, which operates two scrap processing facilities with divisions in demolition and environmental abatement; and is president of Sierra International Machinery. He was elected to his two-year term as chairman at the ISRI Convention and Exposition, which was held in San Diego in May.
