More swine flu vaccine clinics announced

The Kern County Department of Public Health has scheduled several new H1N1 swine flu vaccination clinics at several locations around the county in November.
Supplies of the vaccine are limited, officials cautioned, and all clinics are subject to postponement depending on availability of the vaccine. In addition, only those in the following five priority groups are eligible for the vaccine:
* Children and young adults age 6 months to 24 years
* Pregnant women
* Caregivers of children 6 months of age and younger
* Health care workers
* People with underlying health conditions who are between 24 and 64 years of age. These conditions include heart disease, lung disease, immune deficiency, diabetes and asthma.
November clinics include:
* Monday -- 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Arvin public health office.
Tuesday -- 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., North High School.
Wednesday -- 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Kerr McGee Center, Ridgecrest.
Wednesday -- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Shafter public health office.
Thursday -- 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., veterans hall, Lake Isabella.
Thursday -- 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., veterans hall, Mojave.
Thursday -- 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Rosamond Community Services District.
Friday -- 10 a.m. to noon, Inyokern Baptist Church.
Friday -- 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., Pine Mountain Club.
Nov. 9 -- 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., veterans hall in Tehachapi.
Nov. 9 -- 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., Central Baptist Church, 203 S. H St., Bakersfield.
Nov. 10 -- 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Kernville Odd Fellows Hall.
Nov. 11 -- 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wasco public health office.
Nov. 12 -- 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Boys and Girls Club, Lamont.
Nov. 13 -- 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., Coronado Baptist Church, 516 Norris Road, Bakersfield.
Nov. 17 -- 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Weldon United Methodist Church social hall.
Nov. 25 -- 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Richard Prado East Bakersfield Senior Center, 2101 Ridge Road.
