Tuesday is Tax Day. Your taxes are due by midnight.

If this is a surprise to you, it might be a good idea to fire up your favorite tax software — just Google "tax preparation software" — or try and find a tax preparer in town who isn’t working a 15-hour day and beg them to show mercy on you.

Usually April 15 is the deadline to file taxes.

But that was on Sunday and Monday was Emancipation Day, a holiday in Washington, D.C.

So you aren’t late yet.

But you might get moving on the whole tax thing. Now.
