The Bakersfield City School District is seeking input from the community about the Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP)/Local Education Agency Plan (LEAP). BCSD invites the public share its feedback in an online survey, available in English and Spanish, on the proposed actions to meet the District’s LCAP goals for the 2018-2019 school year. The LCAP is required by the state-adopted Local Control Funding Formula, which provides districts the flexibility to decide how they allocate funding to better serve the needs of their students. Districts must identify their greatest student needs, set targets for improving performance with regards to those needs, and allocate funding for programs and services to meet those goals. During the next few months, BCSD will engage parents, teachers, staff, students and the community to discuss the progress of the LCAP at BCSD and future planning to improve student learning. The survey is accessible on the homepage of the Bakersfield City School District website: For more information, call 631-4618.
