The Bakersfield College swimming team will host its third annual Free Community Swimming Lessons at the school 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7.

Swim lessons will run on a continuous 30-minute cycle to have as many kids as possible in the water. Even children who know how to swim are welcome to get a lesson from members of the team.

The lessons are offered on a first-come, first-served basis and paperwork can be completed when you get there. Parents simply have to show up, sit and watch!

The free event will take place at the BC pool. If too many people show up, priority will be given to younger-aged kids. Children must be potty-trained to participate.
