DON BURNARD has been appointed center dean of DeVry University in Bakersfield. Formerly a teacher, principal and program coordinator with the Kern County Office of Education, Burnard comes to DeVry from Point Loma Nazarene University, where as director he opened the school’s Bakersfield Regional Center. He earned a master’s degree in educational administration at Cal State Bakersfield, and a doctorate at Regent University.
RE/MAX Magic announced that it has added three agents: CAROL BURRELL, TINA CHAVEZ and LAUNI “HUNT” ABBOTT.
Burrell has worked in real estate for more than 30 years. She specializes in selling luxury homes but is also experienced in REO listings and corporate relocations.
Chavez has been licensed since 2002, and has earned GRI and CRS designations, as well as a broker’s license. She is bilingual and knowledgeable of marketing strategies.
Abbott has more than 25 years of experience in real estate, and was among Bakersfield’s leading Realtors before moving to the Los Angeles area in 2004. She has worked with homeowners who had fallen behind on their mortgage payments, and hopes to reach out to others in similar circumstances.
DAVID D. BLAINE and HAGOP T. BEDOYAN, both of whom are partners at the law firm of Klein, DeNatale, Goldner, Cooper, Rosenlieb & Kimball LLP, have earned an AV Rating from the LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell Legal Network. The ratings result from a confidential peer review system, and attest to the lawyers’ legal ability and ethics. The firm has eight lawyers who have earned the rating; one of them is now retired.
Blaine’s practice focuses on the areas of employment counseling and litigation for management. He heads the firm’s human resource consulting business, KDG Human Resource Solutions.
Bedoyan practices in the area of representation of debtors, creditors, trustees and creditors’ committees. He deals with all types of bankruptcy and reorganization proceedings. In Fresno County he was the first lawyer certified as a specialist in bankruptcy law by the state bar’s Board of Legal Specialization.
