Target's take on opening dates

Minneapolis-based Target Corp. said Friday it is planning a grand opening for its new Shops at River Walk location on Oct. 11, but the store slated for Valley Plaza mall is “on hold.”
It would be “premature” to comment on the future of the Target that was to have replaced a Robinsons-May at Valley Plaza, said Target spokeswoman Anna Anderson.
Construction there was halted late last year, and some contractors filed litigation complaining they had not been paid.
