Industrial equipment of all kinds is being put up for auction Friday in Bakersfield.

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, returning to the city after 16 years, has scheduled the unreserved auction to begin at 8 a.m. Friday at 20638 Highway 119.

Among the items set to go according to a new release from Ritchie, are boom trucks, pipeline equipment, aggregate machinery, compactors, forklifts, various tractors and more than 70 commercial pickup trucks.

The equipment comes from more than 70 companies, including Bolthouse Farms and Gene Watson Construction. Potential bidders can show up at the auction site to inspect items during regular business hours.

Anyone can attend the auction, and registration is free with a photo identification.

The auctioneer’s Web site, rbauction.com, contains instructions for registering in advance and bidding over the Internet, as well as photos and information on items up for auction.
