A 3-year-old who suffered fatal wounds in a Friday night shooting that also injured two others has been identified.

Major Sutton was shot at about 11:45 p.m. and pronounced dead about 30 minutes later at Kern Medical Center, according to a coroner's release.

Two other victims, a woman and a 5-year-old, survived the shooting after the shooter or shooters forced their way inside a residence in the 800 block of Pershing Street and opened fire, police said.
