Bakersfield Police Department

A heavily tattooed man riding a bicycle through Valley Plaza mall threatened to kill a security guard, police said.

The suspect also motioned to his waistband during the April 8 confrontation and told security officers he had a gun, but no gun was seen, police said. The suspect was involved in a prior incident with security where he brandished a knife.

The suspect is described as white or Hispanic, late 20s, 5 foot 8, medium build, short black hair and brown eyes. He has "5150" tattooed above his right eyebrow and a horn above his left eyebrow, police said.

He was wearing a black baseball hat, white/black flannel jacket, black gym shorts and riding a black BMX-style bicycle.

Anyone with information regarding this is asked to call Detective Rex Davenport at 326-3552 or the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
