Bakersfield Police Department officers are searching for a man they believe robbed the same South Union Avenue Fastrip station twice in less than three hours.

The robberies occurred just before midnight on Wednesday and at 2:16 a.m. on Thursday.

The first time the suspect grabbed something from the store and ran out. The second time the suspect approached the clerk with a handgun and demanded money.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male between 20 and 23 years old, standing 5'9" tall and wearing a black shirt with white stripes over a blue hoodie.

Police officers are asking members of the public to call detectives at 326-3870 or the department at 327-7111 if they have any information about the person believed to have committed the robbery.
