Vehicle wanted in fatal hit-and-run collision.

Bakersfield Police Department

Police are asking for the public's help in finding a truck that fled the scene of a fatal collision last week.

The vehicle, described as a 1999 to 2006 blue Chevrolet Silverado pickup with an extended cab, should have minor front end damage, police said.

The truck struck a pedestrian at about 6:15 p.m. Feb. 21 in the 4000 block of Ming Avenue, according to police. The truck never stopped, and another vehicle hit the pedestrian as he lay in the roadway. That driver remained at the scene and was determined to not be under the influence.

The pedestrian, Lee Joseph Wilson, 56, died at the scene.

Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to call the Bakersfield Police Department at 327-7111.
