One person was killed and at least two were seriously injured in a shooting in front of the Golden West Casino on Friday, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
The department said it received a report of multiple people with gunshot wounds at the casino. Deputies were sent out at around 5:32 p.m. and found a deceased man in front of the casino entrance on Union Avenue.

According to the department, Brackenridge was arrested and booked into the Kern County Jail on suspicion of homicide, being a felon in possession of a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon and participation in a criminal street gang.
The Sheriff’s Office said two people suffered gunshot wounds during the shooting and that some people in the vicinity sustained minor injuries in their attempt to get away. Those that were injured have been taken to a hospital for treatment.
