A man stabbed his mother and two brothers, ages 10 and 15, at their home in central Bakersfield Thursday evening, police said.

Jeremy Rapolla, 23, attacked his mother following an argument around 5:30 p.m. at a residence in the 300 block of Donna Avenue, according to police. He stabbed her in the upper torso, then stabbed his brothers, police said.

Rapolla walked from the residence and was taken into custody nearby without incident.

Police said the 10-year-old is in critical condition, while both the 15-year-old and mother are stable.

Rapolla is being held on $1,540,000 bail on suspicion of three counts of attempted murder and two counts of willful cruelty to a child. His arraignment is scheduled for Monday.
