A 45-year-old man who police say gunned down another man in south Bakersfield over the weekend has turned himself in, according to the Bakersfield Police Department.

After his attorney contacted police, Javier Saucedo went to BPD headquarters Tuesday evening and was booked on suspicion of murder, weapons violations and shooting from a moving vehicle, police said.

He's set to be arraigned Thursday and is being held without bail.

Saucedo is accused of fatally shooting 34-year-old Edgar Eduardo Barajas Ruiz Saturday night in the 7000 block of Stargaze Drive.
