An investigator with the Kern County Public Defender's office was arrested Saturday night on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge, police said.

Johanna Romero, 27, was arrested shortly after 9 p.m. after police were dispatched to a residence to a report of domestic violence. Officers determined Romero and another person had been involved in an argument that turned physical, and Romero was the "primary aggressor."

The other person suffered minor injuries, police said.
