Gov. Jerry Brown pardoned 132 individuals Saturday, including two convicted in Kern County.

Genaro Erick Saldana was sentenced to 17 months in prison and three years' probation in 2000 for stealing a gold chain necklace off a man's neck, according to a news release from the governor's office.  Mark William Turner was sentenced in 1982 for drug possession and served three years' probation and 90 days in jail.

Both were pardoned after following through with conditions necessary for a pardon, including living "productive and law-abiding lives" after their convictions.
