The Kern County Fire Department responded to a call at about 9:30 p.m. Sunday for a fire in the 14000 Block of Highway 178 in Lake Isabella.

When firefighters arrived, they saw smoke and flames coming from the rear of a large commercial building, said the department in a news release.

Crews stopped the fire from spreading. They performed a secondary search and confirmed an all clear, said KCFD.

The department said there were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
