Bakersfield firefighters put out a structure fire at Jewett Avenue and 30th Street on Tuesday morning.

The Bakersfield Fire Department said that at 2:28 a.m., firefighters responded to the area and found a vacant single-story commercial building engulfed in flames. Personnel were able to put out the fire within about two-and-a-half hours. The fire damage is estimated at $180,000, BFD said.

The department said arson investigators are looking into the cause of the fire.
