The woman stabbed to death in downtown Bakersfield last week has been identified by coroner's officials.

Brianna Gabriela Medina, 19, of Tehachapi, was stabbed at about 8:50 p.m. March 2 at 20th and Eye Streets, according to the coroner's office. She died at the scene. 

An autopsy has been scheduled.

Miranda Garcia, the woman accused of stabbing Medina, was arrested but later released without being charged after prosecutors sent the case back to Bakersfield police for further investigation.
