"Honor a Hero, Hire a Vet" was the motto at one local job fair held Wednesday at Bakersfield's Marriott Convention Center.

Dozens of vendors gathered at the location to accept resumes from former military service members and offer advice on future careers. Likewise, veterans had a chance to explore new career options that would help them transition into civilian life. Among those in attendance were CoCa Cola, The California Highway Patrol, local university's and more.

TBC Media spoke with one curious veteran to see what the event had to offer, and a spokesperson from the Wounded Heroes Fund.
