Three Kern County wrestlers competed in the medal rounds at the CIF State Boys Wrestling championships.

Bakersfield High senior Izzak lost the 145 third place match to Bernie Truak of Vista-Rancho Buena Vista, Frontier junior Max Aguirre lost the 160 third place match to Logan Blake of Loomis-Del Oro and Bakersfield High freshman Justin Darter lost the seventh place match to Adrian Rodriguez of Mission Hills-Alemany.

All three, along with Frontier junior Cole Reyes, who won fifth place by injury default by Luciano Arroyo of Santa Ana-Calvary Chapel and Frontier junior Trent Tracy, who is in the 170 finals, are the lone medalists this year from the county.
