Fire burns 100 acres near Lebec

About 100 acres were burned by a wildfire in Lebec that started Thursday afternoon.

About 150 firefighters from Kern County Fire Department, Bakersfield Fire Department, Los Angeles County Fire Department and Cal Fire responded to the blaze at 3:03 p.m. The fire was near Lebec Oaks Road and Lebec Road.
The fire was moving quickly south when firefighters arrived, officials said. At about 8 a.m. Friday, the fire was completely contained, but about 20 firefighters were still on scene putting out hot spots.
