Fred Gagliardini has been approved as a specialist in criminal law by the California Board of Legal Specialization. Gagliardini successfully completed an additional two-day bar exam, showed proficiency in trial advocacy and met other requirements such as an inquiry and review submitted by local attorneys and judges.

Robert Watt with RE/MAX Golden Empire is now a member of The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing after finishing a course in marketing and selling luxury homes. Watt has been a licensed Realtor with RE/MAX Golden Empire since 2004 and has more than 12 years of sales experience.

Darren Thornberry has been promoted to vice president of strategic planning and analysis at Sun World International, LLC. He will be responsible for supply chain analysis, financial performance analysis and capital budgeting. Thornberry joined Sun World in 2006 as a senior operations analyst and most recently was director of strategic planning. He previously was an independent business planning consultant, and has worked for Dole Fresh Fruit and Jackson & Perkins in finance, administration and operations planning.

Paris Davis has joined Scott Tobias Real Estate. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Phoenix. Davis has worked in real estate for more than five years, both in residential sales and with bank owned property and asset management companies.

Also joining Scott Tobias Real Estate is Michelle Overstreet, who moved here from Imperial, where she was owner and broker of Re/Max Desert Valley Realty. She was No. 1 salesperson of the Imperial Valley Association of Realtors in 2005 and 2006, and served on the association’s board of directors.

Klein, DeNatale, Goldner, Cooper, Rosenlieb and Kimball, LLP has two new associate attorneys.

Duane H. Henning joined the tax controversy and corporate and estate tax planning departments. He previously worked for the IRS as a revenue agent and estate tax attorney for 13 years. Henning graduated from California Pacific School of Law in 1998 and earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics/accounting from Western Washington University. Henning also worked as a tax preparer for H & R Block and has had accounting and financial analyst positions in oil, farming and real estate.

Kimberly D. Schroeder is in the firm’s estate planning practice and concentrates in estate planning, trust administration and Medi-Cal planning. She is a member of the Kern County Bar Association, the Estate Planning Counsel and the Kern County Women Lawyer’s Association. Schroeder graduated from Baylor School of Law in 2007 and was admitted to the California State Bar in 2008. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Cal State Bakersfield, magna cum laude, in 2003. She has worked as a credit analyst for San Joaquin Bank.
