Firefighters find bodies at scene of Rosamond trailer fire

Investigators are investigating a possible homicide in Rosamond when a body was found in a burned trailer and an elderly woman was found dead nearby.

Firefighters found the first body at about 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday after they extinguished a blaze in a trailer in the 5000 block of 62nd Street, according to the Kern County Sheriff’s Department. The body was burned beyond recognition.
Firefighters searched a house on the property of the burned trailer and found the body of an elderly woman. She appeared to have been killed.
KCSD Lt. J.R. Rodriguez would not say how she was she was killed. Firefighters are investigating the cause of the blaze.
