Farm Bureau endorses Gilmore for Assembly seat

Republican Danny Gilmore picked up the endorsement of the California Farm Bureau Federation on Monday, with an official announcement at the Kern County Farm Bureau office.

Gilmore, a Hanford resident, is running against Shafter Democrat Fran Florez for the 30th District Assembly seat that will be vacated by a termed-out Nicole Parra.
Farm Bureau leaders, including two farmers from the district, said Gilmore understands the importance of water issues and dealing with rural crime, especially metal theft.
