Deputies tried to stop Sean Reagan, 39, and another motorcyclist about 10:40 p.m. because they noticed one of them had a broken headlight. Instead of stopping, the two men sped away, deputies said.

They could not find the second motorcyclist, but when a deputy neared the intersection of Country Oaks Street and Highline Road, he saw that Reagan had lost control of his bike and crashed in the driveway of a home in the 20800 block of Country Oaks Street, a sheriff’s and coroner’s release said. Reagan died in the driveway.

The California Highway Patrol and sheriff’s department are investigating.
