Maricopa officer put on unpaid leave

A Maricopa police officer who is accused of having sex with minors was put on unpaid administrative leave on Thursday.

Garry Snap Ferguson is not being paid because of his legal problems, said Officer Louie Pennie with the Maricopa Police Department. He was previously on paid administrative leave.
Ferguson is facing several charges including unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor in Kings County. He is also being investigated in an unrelated case in Kern County.
Ferguson also has three restraining orders against him in Kern County, Pennie said.
