The robberies of two separate check cashing businesses on Ming Avenue appear to be related, Bakersfield police reported Wednesday.

The first was on Monday at 1:55 p.m. when an Hispanic woman went into the Check Into Cash business at 4470 Ming Ave. and demanded money, police said.
The woman, described as 35-40 years old, 5-foot-5, 150 pounds, brown hair, and wearing sunglasses, a white blouse and white jeans, walked out with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.
On Tuesday, two Hispanic women entered the Check N Go, 3699 Ming Ave., where they demanded cash and left with an undisclosed amount of money.
One woman was described as 30 to 40 years old, 5-foot-6, 180 pounds, black long hair in a ponytail, wearing sunglasses, a black blouse and blue jeans.
The other was described as 17 to 18 years old, 5-foot-7, 110 to 115 pounds, long black hair in a ponytail, braces on her teeth and sunglasses.
Police said no weapons were seen in either robbery.
